ISF is always contributing to the physical, social, and intellectual development of youth having in mind sport values as mutual understanding, peace, and tolerance. Having a vision that sport can break any cultural, religious, and ideological barrier, goals were easily created; to empower the youth, educate them and provide the platforms where different sports can be practiced – sporting events.
School sports are the best and most affordable solution to the problem of children's physical activity but future development overall. Sport engaged people on higher level. Children’s development, both, physical and social, is starting at school from early age. If properly distributed, PE teachers could play big role in children development and understanding of human rights and how to promote them through the sports, more precisely, school sport. The ISF is here to provide them with additional activities and sporting events.
The aim of this webinar is to discuss the relevance of school sports and physical education as a tool for promoting human rights and democracy. Another topic to be discuss revolves around how PE teachers and coaches can implement a values-base physical education sports training approach.
School sports and physical education (PE) are important to raise future generations in the spirit of the core values promoted by the Council of Europe – human rights, democracy, and the rule of law including Fair play and educate youth how to respect the rules and providing everyone with equal chance of taking part in sports.
