Bahrain’s PE Teachers Embrace Innovative Sports Programs at ISF Gymnasiade Venue
Oct 27, Manama, Bahrain – Today marked the third day of professional development workshops for Physical Education (PE) teachers in Bahrain, held at the venue for the upcoming 2024 International School Sport Federation (ISF) Gymnasiade. The event, which aims to elevate the quality of school sports education, continued to offer a series of interactive and insightful sessions for Bahraini educators.
In a morning session led by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), participants were introduced to the "Shuttle Time" program, a dynamic and engaging approach to teaching badminton in schools. The program is designed to make the sport accessible to all students, with fun activities that can be easily integrated into school curriculums.
The afternoon saw an exciting shift in focus to 3x3 basketball, with expert Nico Widmer delivering an informative session on the sport's rapid rise and key differences from traditional basketball. Widmer shared practical strategies for implementing 3x3 basketball in school programs, offering creative ideas to bring the sport to life for students.
