IOC to launch Let's Move campaign School sports, Let’s Move together!
International School Sports Federation (ISF) is honoured to be collaborating with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on a new initiative aiming to inspire and enable the world to move, as the International Federation leading the promotion of school sports globally.
Although the world is moving faster than ever, research has found that many young people are not able to meet the movement levels recommended for optimum health (80% of young people are not able to meet the recommended minimum activity levels needed for optimum health – WHO 2022).
Starting this Olympic Day on 23rd June, together we are inviting young people to make time for movement, with the ambition to inspire the habit every day, anywhere.
Inspired by the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games, schools across France have already implemented 30-minutes daily sports activities in their classes. We invite all youth among school sports federations, our members, networks, to join this movement.
How it works? , here are some ideas:
Host an Olympic Day themed sports day.
Encourage students to walk to school on June 23.
Take part in a traditional Olympic Day run.
Share the benefits of physical activity.
Invite students to join Olympian led workouts on Olympic social channels.
Share your moves on social media and be the inspiration. Do not forget to include Main Hashtags #Letsmove#Olympicday#ISF and tag @Olympics.
A toolkit and communication will be shared, so stay tuned and follow IOC and ISF channels for all updates.
Let’s Move, Together!
