CBDE Delegation visits ISF Lausanne Office

Feb 7, Lausanne, Switzerland The International School Sport Federation (ISF) had the pleasure of welcoming the delegation from the Brazilian School Sport Confederation (CBDE) in Lausanne office. The representatives included Antonio Hora, ISF Vice-President & CBDE President, Robson Aguilar, Vice President and Executive Director of CBDE, and José Maria de Santucci, Financial Director of CBDE. 

 

ISF Executive Director Hasnae El Ayoubi praised the outstanding efforts of CBDE in promoting school sports over the past years. With the highest number of participants and medal winners at the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, CBDE successfully showcased young Brazilian talent on the international stage. This participation not only highlighted their athletic abilities but also exposed them to cultural diversity and educational activities. 

 

During the meeting, both parties officially determined the dates for the ISF World School Futsal Championship, set to take place fromNovember 11-19, 2025 in Brasília. The first bulletin with further details will be published in the coming weeks. Moving forward, ISF and CBDE anticipate further collaboration to strengthen school sports worldwide. 

Over the years, CBDE has established a sustainable development framework in Brazil, by consistently organizing national school sports competitions and actively participating in international school sports events. Through these efforts, the federation has nurtured student-athletes who later rose to international prominence. Many former school athletes, after competing at higher levels, have returned to share their valuable skills and experiences with the next generation, fostering a continuous cycle of sporting excellence and cultural enrichment in school sports.  

Samury Uiki, Olympic long jumper and motivational coach of Brazilian delegation in Bahrain 2024, highlighted the importance of exposure to international competitions starting from a young age to foster ambition and drive toward a professional level. He also addresses all young athletes, saying, "If you can dream it, you can achieve it," emphasizing the role of consistent and proper training. Their dedication is driving school sports toward high performance, nurturing a promising future generation of athletes.
