Russian Federation ISF member Physical Culture and Sports Association “Youth of Russia” organises a meeting with ISF president as keynote speaker
On Tuesday, 29 December 2020, ISF president Mr. Laurent Petrynka participated in the Public-state Physical Culture and Sports Association “Youth of Russia” meeting, themed “Goals and prospects for the development of physical education in the educational system in the Russian Federation and in the international arena”.
The meeting took place online in the presence of ISF Executive Committee member and President of Public-state Physical Culture and Sports Association “Youth of Russia” Mr. Alan Abaev.
Mr. Petrynka welcomed and thanked the hosts for an important work done in 2020, with an aim to strengthen school sport in the Russian Federation. He presented ISF’s innovate approach and the three digital events ISF organised in 2020 to keep young students active and involved with school sport. Mr Petrynka also highlighted the important contribution the Rusisan Federation brings to the ISF, being the host of the 20th ISF Gymnasiade – Ekaterinburg 2024.
Emphasizing the importance of innovation in school sport ISF President Mr Petrynka said: “We strongly believe that the innovative approach we developed with these 1st online events will help us attract more people to join ISF. As with any educational approach, the success is made of combining different tools to maximise the benefit for all.. Therefore, the online events in their various formats will be further developed in the future and become an integral part of the ISF programme. Such new formats will exist as single events, ascombined events where they will be included in the activities of our onsite events mixing onsite and online competitions and finally as part of our educational events.”
The meeting covered key topics currently facing the educational system: from digital transformation to changes experienced by the new generation of students. The activities of the ISF member from Russian Federation ”Youth of Russia” were also present.
