Executive Decisions: New Committee and Leadership Appointments

Mar. 6, Lausanne, Switzerland – The ISF Executive Committee convened on February 28, 2025, to reinforce the federation’s commitment to transparent, professional, and inclusive governance. During the meeting, key decisions were made to enhance ISF’s operational structure and ensure continued excellence in organizing international school sport events and ISF educational activities.

New Members Appointed to the ISF Management Committee

In a move to further streamline ISF’s mission, the Executive Committee has appointed two of its members to the Management Committee, the body responsible for overseeing the daily administration and management of the ISF office:

  • Olabisi Joseph (Nigeria)
  • Renos Pittalis (Cyprus)

Their expertise and leadership will play a vital role in ensuring efficient administration and strategic direction within ISF’s operational framework.

Open Call for Candidates: ISF Disciplinary Committee

To uphold ISF’s principles of fairness and compliance, the Executive Committee has decided to open a call for candidates for the ISF Disciplinary Committee, in alignment with Article 3.1 of the ISF Statutes.

Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications, including a CV, motivation letter, and any other relevant documents, to admin@isfsports.org by March 26, 2025.

According to the above-mentioned article, members of the Disciplinary Committee:

  1. Shall not belong to the Executive Committee
  2. Shall be elected by the General Assembly upon proposal of the Executive Committee

The candidates are required to uphold the following criteria:

Independence

The members of the Disciplinary Committee shall NOT:

  • Be an EC Member;
  • Hold any other function within the ISF (such as member of another Committee, Commission, etc)
  • Hold any function within any entity affiliated with the ISF (National Federation / Continental Federation), except that a function within any Ethics Board, Disciplinary Tribunal, Integrity Committee or the like shall not prevent a person from being appointed at ISF Disciplinary Committee.
  • Candidates, who do not meet the above criteria shall commit to resign before being appointed at the ISF Disciplinary Committee.
Expertise

The members of the Disciplinary Committee shall each have the following expertise:

  • Be a qualified lawyer with experience in legal issues affecting sport; or
  • Be a practising or former judicial office holder with experience in legal issues affecting sport; or
  • Be / have been a person with substantial involvement in sport; or
  • Be a person with substantial involvement in ethics / integrity in some capacity.
Balanced representation

ISF would welcome candidates from all continents and countries, from both genders, as well as from different backgrounds, including practising or retired athletes.

Language skills

Members of the Disciplinary Committee shall be able to work in English.

By reinforcing its leadership structure, ISF ensures the continued growth and integrity of international school sport events and educational programs worldwide.
