On Thursday 1 April 2021, Presidents and Coordinators of the ISF Technical Commissions, the ISF Sports Committee, the Serbian School Sports Federation, and the Serbian School Sports Federation Technical Chairs of the ISF U15 World School Sport Games gathered online to initiate communication in preparing for the ISF U15 World School Sport Games, taking place on the 11-19 September 2021.
Over 40 officials, including 14 ISF Technical Commission (TC) Presidents and Coordinators, and their counterparts from the Organising Committee met to continue preparations for the inaugural ISF U15 multi-sport event. During the meeting, the TC representative for each sport was introduced to advance the process of preparation already in place.

ISF President, Mr Laurent Petrynka welcomed everyone to the meeting and highlighted the ever-present positive spirit surrounding the collaboration between the ISF family and the Serbian School Sports Federation, sharing words of optimism for the event which has been rescheduled until 11-19 September this year. “I am very pleased to see such positive cooperation between all stakeholders involved in the organising of this event. The ISF is incredibly proud and confident of the preparations underway for this first ever ISF U15 multi-sport event, which have been strengthened thanks to the responsible decisions taken by the Serbian School Sports Federation and the Serbian local authorities, in rescheduling the event. I wish you all the greatest success for the coming months of preparations.”
Serbian School Sport Federation President, Mr Zeljko Tanaskovic, followed by commending the preparations already in place, while reinforcing the message of optimism from the ISF President in regard to the successful delivery of the event. “Preparations for this event have been very active from the start, and I look forward to continuing the high-level of work and delivering this event in the best possible conditions, along with the full support of the Serbian Ministry of Sport. The current vaccination campaign in Serbia has been one of the most successful in the world and will therefore greatly assist Belgrade in welcoming participants to the inaugural ISF U15 World School Sport Games this September.
ISF Secretary General/CEO, Mr Hrvoje Custonja, spoke about the strong emphasis being placed on the unique educational programme being proposed for this event, that would take place parallel to the sport programme. With the help of international federations and other stakeholders such as the University of Belgrade, both the educational and cultural programmes for this event will be larger than previous ISF events with a strong focus being placed on the implementation of the Fun and Skills Zone. The event as a whole will not only provide the opportunity to share Olympic values through sport, but also merge education and culture together, along with a strong correlation to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Good Health and Well-Being (3), Quality Education (4), and Partnership for the Goals (17), of which the ISF is focused upon, as they are closely tied to school sport.
