Larnaca, March 22-25 – First ISF Executive Committee meeting of the year took place in Larnaca, Cyprus, with members evaluating the current development of ISF and its global school sport events.
The meeting was hosted by Larnaca, Cyprus and the School Sport Federation of Cyprus, and opened by Mr Laurent Petrynka, ISF president and Mr Nicos Megalemos, ISF president Europe. Members were also welcomed by Ms Kallie Hagjiiosif, the head of Physical Education department at the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus and Mr Jason Jasonidis, Deputy Mayor of Larnaca.
The Executive Committee meeting began with members evaluating the current development of ISF, and continued with reports from ISF president Mr Laurent Petrynka, deputy president Mr Robson Aguiar, ISF vice president Mr Xue Yanqing, ISF secretary general / CEO Mr Hrvoje Čustonja, ISF continetnal presidents Mr Nicos Megalemos, Mr Graeme Jennings and Mr Youssef Belqasmi, and ISF sports director Mr Josip Kosutic.
The second part of the meeting included presentations on Athletes and Youth, Communication and Marketing, Education and Legal Committee, Development and Cooperation, and Ethic and Legal committees from ISF EC members Mr Xue Yanqing, Ms Julia Boyanova, Mr Nicos Megalemos, Mr Lauri Luik and Mr Roman Greba.
Day two started with reports on the Sport Committee and presentation from ISF sports director Mr Josip Kosutic with an overview of the upcoming and future ISF events.
The Jinjiang delegation and Mr Lin Renda, Chairman of Jinjiang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, presented the report on the preparations for the organisation of the 2020 ISF Gymnasiade. The Jinjiang Gymnasiade is set to be another record-breaking ISF event with new sport disciplines added, high level hospitality and organisation and powerful media and communication campaigns. Gymnasiade 2020 is supported by the official ISF sponsors ANTA, LILANZ, PANPAN FOODS and SHUA fitness.
