On 13 May 2021, the ISF Sport Committee met to discuss sport topics and activities of the recent period just passed. During the meeting, all aspects of preparational work for upcoming events were reviewed in their entirety to help further advance the process currently being implemented for future events.
ISF President, Mr Laurent Petrynka welcomed everyone to the meeting and highlighted the importance of the preparational work for the organisation of ISF events. He noted that the work which is currently being done is very important as a whole for the ISF, including for both institutional and sporting aspects.
The Sport Committee Chair Željko Tanasković took the opportunity to highlight that in addition to regular preparation, the close cooperation between ISF and the LOC of the inaugural U15 World School has been of a high-level. He further informed everyone that the event continues to be strongly supported by the Serbian Government and local authorities.
The meeting also saw ISF Secretary General/CEO Hrvoje Custonja present a report on the activities which had taken place in recent months, in particular, regarding the 18th ISF Gymnasiade in Jinjiang, P.R. China and the ISF U15 World School Sport Games in Belgrade, Serbia. Mr Custonja followed up his report by presenting the event management documents which had been reviewed by the Sport Committee along with the programme for upcoming events, as some of them had been postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation.
