ISF President Mr Laurent Petrynka attended the New Leaders Forum 2019, held in Helsinki, Finland, from 18-20 November 2019, and participated in a panel discussion, entitled "Power of Networks", with Ms Marisol Casado, IOC member and ITF President, Mr Niels Nygaard, EOC Vice-President and Mr Karl-Erik Nilsson, UEFA Vice-President, on Wednesday, 20 November 2019.
He presented the She Runs Active Girls' Lead project - a groundbreaking event promoting girls' health, empowerment and leadership, and supported by the European Commission and its Erasmus+ Sport programme.
ISF President also spoke on the matter of providing girls and young women with the opportunities to develop their leadership talents, and highlighted the importance of sport (in this process). She Runs serves as an inspiration for everyone; from the girls who participated to the people in the leadership positions.
At the end, he also mentioned that She Runs will be developed further and its participants will get more and new opportunities to develop their leadership skills through ISF, and other, events.
New Leaders Forum was a joint effort of the International Olympic Committee, the European Olympic Committees and the Finnish Olympic Committee. The event took place in Helsinki, Finland from 18-20 November 2019. The Forum began with the opening words from the President of the International Olympic Committee Mr Thomas Bach and the President of the Finnish Olympic Committee Mr Timo Ritakallio.

The inaugural She Runs - Active Girls' Lead, the first international school event to promote girls' health, gender equality and leadership through school sport, took place in Paris, France, from March 12-15, welcoming 500 young women from 33 countries. The event was supported by the European Commission and its Erasmus+ Sport programme.
The project concluded with an Active Girls' Lead conference, entitled "Toward improving young women's health and leadership through sport and education" and organised within the framework of the European Week of Sport, in Brussels, on 27 September 2019.
