It’s a wrap for ISF Educational Games 2017!
The 4th Educational Games organized by International School Sport Federation from 31st of March to 5th of April got to its successful end. Two cities of Greece, Athens, the capital, and Olympia, the sites of the ancient Olympics, welcomed young students to spend an unforgettable week full of new experiences, friendships and life long memories.

Over 100 participants from China, Brazil, Italy, France, Bulgaria and Great Britain joined forces and created unforgettable and joyful event. Educational Games are the epitome of ISF mission called “Education through sport”. In addition, the participation of Special Olympics, this year formed by the Great Britain team, empowers the ISF perspective of “School sport against any kind of discrimination.”

Participants also joined the International Sport for Development and Peace Day movement by displaying the Peace and Sport #WhiteCard campaign

The programme started in Olympia with a guided tour of the city of Olympics which included running in the ancient stadium and visit of the Museum of the Olympics. It was followed by basketball tournament of mixed teams. For the first time of ISF Educational Games, local students from high schools of Olympia also participated.
The Opening Ceremony that followed was staged in the small-town square in front of the Olympia Hall. Enjoyed by many spectators, all delegations paraded and enjoyed Greek music and dance.

The next day, before the departure to Athens where the rest of the Games was held, all participants enjoyed the Greek dance lesson. In Athens, youngsters and their teachers visited the iconic Panatheanic Stadium, which hosted both opening and closing ceremony of the first modern Olympics in 1896).

The programme included the Nations night full of national food. The delegations had a chance to present their country with dance, music and videos.

The final day of the Games featured a mixed football tournament. This year the tournament included 20 players from local schools of Alimos. During a ceremonial organised all young participants received the 4th Educational Games diplomas and medals and the Kinder+Sport #JoyofMoving Trophy for Fair play (won by Italy) from the Olympic Medalist in Rhythmic Gymnastics Klelia Pantazis.
Young people showed the world once more that they are the generation of unit, peace and multiculturalism. Bring on the 5th ISF Educational Games 2018!
