Brussels, 13 September 2019 – ISF Deputy Secretary General / CEO Mr Kole Gjeloshaj attended the Council of Europe’s Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) workshop on a possible revision of the European Sports Charter which took place on 11 September 2019 at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels.
The workshop began with the opening speech from Ms Madeleine Delaperrière, Chair of the EPAS Governing Board, and the participants being informed on the results of the analysis report on the European Sports Charter and the possible next steps to continue revising the charter, both presented by Mr Stanislas Frossard, EPAS Executive Secretary.
It continued with the discussion on aims, changes, impact and the new objectives of the charter. The second part of the workshop focused on the stakeholders, the promotion and the support of the European Sports Charter.
The main objectives of the workshop were to inform on the analysis report, discuss the possible revision of the ESC and the next steps in the process, identify the major topics the ESC should cover, and discuss and decide on possible follow up actions.
