Brussels, 30 September 2019 - From 27-28 September, ISF Athletes and Youth Committee met in Brussels, at the ISF headquarters, to discuss its policies and future development.
ISF Athletes and Youth Committee, composed of 14 people and chaired by the Executive Committee member Ms Julia Boyanova, defined the main policies; the committee aims to work in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Agenda 2020. The leadership skills will also be an important focus and were added to the committee’s agenda.
The projects mainly focused around the “Fun and Skills zones” theme will be implemented at each ISF event. The main project for 2020 will be the ISF School Summer Games – Gymnasiade 2020, hosted by Jinjiang, China.
On 28 September 2019, the young members of the ISF Athletes and Youth Committee welcomed the She Runs participants, from five different countries, which participated at the Active Girls’ Lead conference, and presented them the role and the activities of the committee. The occasion was a valuable opportunity for the young women to better understand how the ISF operates and what are the main aims of the committee.
