The inaugural World Schools Championship in climbing took place from 18-24 May 2019 in Aubenas, France, and was organised by the French School Sport Union.

Nine delegations from three continents participated at the first edition of the event.

The championship was supported by the official ISF sponsor Kinder+Sport.

The participants, aged 15-18, competed in a mixed teams of 4 athletes (2 boys and 2 girls) in either school or selected team.

The eight participating delegations - ISF Members were: AEFE Côte d’Ivoire, AEFE Singapore, Afghanistan, China, England, France, Nepal, Spain, Ukraine
