ISF Executive Committee (EC) members gathered today in Belgrade ahead of annual General Assembly that will take place tomorrow.

ISF President Laurent Petrynka opened the meeting welcoming the members, thanking Serbian School Sport Federation for hosting the event and reporting to the members of the EC on ISF development over the last year. His opening speech was followed by financial report and budget approval. The members also reviewed a report of the Sport Department on the upcoming season calendar and registered teams.
In addition, members of the Committee were also presented with a concept of a new girls-only basketball event for the upcoming season: She Dunks, scheduled to take place in September 2020 in Brussels. The event is aimed at inviting girls from 10 countries to come together to practice basketball, participate in educational workshops and attend gender equality conference in the framework of European week of sport.
Executive Committee also discussed the situation with Coronavirus, emphasizing the importance of observing carefully the situation worldwide, especially ahead of Gymnasiade 2020 in China, scheduled to take place in October.
At the end of the meeting, Peru’s delegate Sophie Bordet addressed EC with a proposal on developing integrity project within ISF to help safeguard athletes against abuse in sport and emphasize zero tolerance in regards to this issue.
ISF President Laurent Petrynka commented, “We have the responsibility to grow school sport addressing the opportunities for development and follow the trends in the global sports to join other stakeholders in Olympic movement.”
