The Athletic Schools in Cyprus reopened on September 25th, Friday, after 6 months of closure because of Covid-19 restriction measures issued by the Ministry of Health.
1000 student-athletes aged 12-17 in all 10 Athletic Schools all over Cyprus, started practicing sport again. Enthusiasm and happiness of the students were obvious.
A total of 20 Olympic Sports are included in the Athletic Schools’ curriculum, a program which focuses in Sports and Academic excellence.

All student-athletes are excited and are looking forward to competing again in the upcoming championships. Many of these talented athletes are aiming to participate in ISF World School Championships, as well as in the biggest ISF event, the ISF Gymnasiade Jinjiang 2020, which is going to be held in Chin in 2021. As it is mentioned in the past by many Cypriot student-athletes, competing in ISF events is an unforgettable life-time experience.
The reopening of the Athletics Schools was possible due to the dedicated work and efforts of ISF Basketball TC President and Cyprus Athletic Schools Director Renos Pittalis and the ISF member from Cyprus Ministry Of Education And Culture Department Of Secondary Education.
