Once again Athens - Olympia became the epicentre of Education through Sport; youth from all over the World travelled to Greece to take part in the 6th ISF Educational Games.
ISF Educational Games were supported by the official ISF sponsor Kinder+Sport.

The games began on Wednesday, 27 March 2019, with the arrival of the seven delegations – Bulgaria, China, France, Russia and Ukraine, including Special Olympics team England and a mixed team from Italy.
The next day the participants travelled to Ancient Olympia to meet the local culture and get to know the birth place of Olympics. They took part in the educational workshop led by prof. Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina on the topic of fair play and met the Dean of International Olympic Academy prof. Konstantinos Georgiadis.

Over the five days, ISF Educational Games put youth through various educational and sport activities with an emphasis on inclusion and unified sport, led by delegations participating at the event.
As it’s already a tradition the games included a visit to the Ancient Olympic Stadium where the participants took part in a sporting event and at the “Kotinos” ceremony. ISF youth also had a chance to see the Panathenaic stadium – the venue of the first modern Olympic Games on 1896, Acropolis in Pantheon. The 6th ISF Educational Games concluded with a rugby clinic, intercultural festival, Eurohops academy with Teo Papaloukas and Dimitris Diamantidis, Olympic anthem workshop and the closing ceremony where the delegation from France was awarded with the Kinder+Sport Joy of Moving trophy for fair play.

ISF Educational Games is an annual event which embraces the legacy of Olympic Games to teach youth about Olympism, sport values, volunteerism and the history of Olympic movement.
