Today at 6:30 PM (UTC+1:00), UNESCO launches a revised version of the International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport which was adopted by its Member States.
On this occasion, the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs (IRIS) and UNESCO wish to renew the debate on the role and societal impact of sport, as well as means of translating the Charter into measurable action to which the ISF President was invited in order to represent the school sport.
The Charter promotes access to sport by all without any discrimination. It sets ethical and quality standards for all actors designing, implementing and evaluating sport programmes and policies. The ISF is committed to promote the Charter, and will soon adapt the ISF Statutes to better respond to the statements of the Charter.
