Belgrade, 5th of February. Started at 01.00 pm the draw of the World school championship of Volleyball that will take place in Serbia between the 25/06 and the 03/07 this year and will see
36 Countries that decided to partecipate. The groups are made by four teams for a total of 8 groups for the girls and same for the boys teams.
Many personalities from the sport and political world joined the event at the Serbia Palace, where the draw took place, to reaffirm the importance of such event for the whole Serbian community.
Jan Coolen ISF Secretary General and ISF Delegate was invited at the draw where he had the chance to highlight the importance of sport and education. However the ISF SG applauded the Serbian School sport federation for the great set up build for this occasion as well as for the attention that this WSC is gaining in the preparation phase.
Sasa Pavlov mayor of Pančevo said that he is very glad and honoured to host a big international event such as the ISF WSC of Volleyball, that will bring awareness on both Serbia and Pančevo.
Zeljko Tanaskovic President of the Serbian School sport federation briefly talked about the importance of sports in school and the effort that the federation is putting in the organisation.
Kreckè-Giver Monique president of TC of ISF Volleyball explained the ranking rules for the draw and accordingly the scheme of procedure for the draw giving the the audience an overview of the rules applied for the draw.
Vesna Čitaković & Vladimir Grbić two of the most important volleyball Serbian player, that have also represented their country in the national team at the olympic games were selected to draw the teams.
The draw was live streamed online on the website created for the event by the Serbian School Sport Federation, which also provided an english live translator for the international audience. The draw proved to be successful and all the compliments go to the perfect organisation.
