On December 15, in Paris, the ISF President, Mr. Laurent Petrynka signed an official agreement with Mr. Robin Kent, CEO of RSportz, establishing the US-based company as the technology provider of the ISF.
RSportz is a cloud based platform working with multiple sports stakeholders such as clubs, event organisers, national and international federations. RSportz offers different services such as; membership management, tournament creators, automatic scheduling, live scoring, live streaming and sharing of statistics via the social web.
The cooperation with the ISF will initially be based on a minimum of three World Schools Championships, taking place in the first half of 2017 (tennis, football and basketball). RSportz will assist the ISF with the creation of athletes’ profiles, event scheduling and live scoring. These innovations represent a milestone in terms of digitalisation, allowing the ISF to keep the pace of the other most important international sport organisations. Furthermore, the development of athletes’ profiles will make the interaction between participants to ISF events easier and more engaging.
This agreement has to be interpreted in the framework of the objectives set by the ISF in its long term strategy document, Agenda 2030; in fact, the digitalisation of most of the operational processes of ISF events is part of the general policy towards a more innovative school sport, aiming for an enhanced interaction with the young public and for more effective and sustainable operations.
