With this MoU, FISU recognizes the interest in School Sport and invites its members, the National University Sport Federations (NUSF’s), to consider School Sport and its National Governing Bodies as a partner for the development of FISU and the interests of the University Sports movement.
Both Federation commit to encourage the development of the practice of sport by all school pupils and university students of both genders, to promote women’s sport practice, to emphasize the educative goals, and join the fight against all forms of racism in sport.
There are 3 main pillars of collaboration:
1. From ISF to FISU World Championship: the ISF World schools championship Winners in some category will have the opportunity to compete under the ISF Flag at the World University Championship. So far the project might be realized in the following sports: Triathlon, Orienteering and Cross Country
2. Both Federations in the same Championship field: to organize a common event in the same place to give the opportunity for athletes to exchange even more than the same passion. France will bid in Autumn for organizing the Cross Country 2018 thanks to the good cooperation between UNSS and FFSU
