After 330 matches played by 130 tennis players during 5 days of competition, Turkey conceded a double victory.
Closed to the podium was follow by Scotland (2nd) and England (3rd) for the boys teams.
In the girls draw, Germany was vice-champion, followed by England.
For the first time, a 4th place was rewarded as well; Italy for the girls team and Chinese Taipei for the boys team.
The matches consisted in a team spirit with 3 singles and 2 doubles conducted by the TC President fo Tennis, Pam Burrage and her team with the support the Head of Referee . You can read the whole draw and pools results here.
"The strong point was the high level and a great ambiance that only Brazil can offers." said Norbert Kever, ISF Sports Director and ISF Delegate.
Being part of the spirit of the ISF event, the best attitude and fair play was rewarded to Chile team with the Joy of Moving for Fair Play whose award is designed by Kinder+Sport.
The ISF Tennis will be represented by the two new ambassadors: Camila Almeida, Brazil and Sean Kelly, New Zealand who won the ambassador contest with 316 supports
The 8th ISF World Schools Championship closed and the next tennis event as individual competition will be in Rabat, Morocco from 15th till 22nd May 2018. The next ISF WSC Tennis Cup will be soon attributed. The World Schools Championship will take place in March 2019.
