The SSF organized its first action in May 2015 in Ivory Coast for the benefit of the Ivorian Office for School Sport and University Sport. The training sessions for 96 managers of sports association and young referees trainers in Basket Ball and Handball took place in Abidjan during 4 days.
The Purpose of the mission was to provide teaching sessions related to the achievement of a national school sports organization. The teaching session,dedicated to 30 executive managers, was held by Nathalie Grand and Efthimis Christofilopoulos. Both specialists of the subjects, French speakers and members of the ISF, Nathalie Grand is part of the Tennis Technical Commission and is a National Director Assistant of the French School Sport Union. Efthimis Christofilopoulos is member of the ISF Health Advisory Board and works at the Greek Directorate of Physical Education.
The second teaching Session of 32 regional managers had for objective to give them all the theoretical tools to train young referees. Nathalie Grand, being the French specialist of Young Referees led the teaching sessions based on the French Model.
Besides Peace and Sport, collaborating closely with the ISF, took part as well in the mission, advising the managers how to create sport materials with very few means.
The mission concluded with a practical case for young referees during finals on the districts of Basketball and handball.
