At the next General Assembly, the organisational cycle of the Gymnasiade will be discussed among the members, thus giving the opportunity to deliberate an eventual attribution for 2018, 2020 and further on.
Under the patronage of the King Mohammed VI, Morocco has actively expressed its interest for organising the event in 2018. Consequently, on 15th and 16th April, the ISF President – Laurent Petrynka, the Vice President – Stelios Daskalakis and the Secretary General – Jan Coolen were honoured to meet with high representatives of the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Morocco.
Manifesting their interest in hosting the event in two years from now, a visit of several sport facilities and accommodations enabled the ISF representatives to observe the promising capacity of Morocco.
Morocco will introduce their bid for hosting the Gymnasiade 2018 at the next General Assembly on 13th May 2016 in Marmaris, Turkey.
